Residents in Plasgwyn gardens

Plasgwyn: Background

Plasgwyn was previously a hotel, which was purchased and has been managed by the Hughes family since 1970.

In December 1998 the family decided to convert the hotel to a Nursing Home.

Following twelve months of complete renovation and refurbishment and ensuring the home complies with all the National Minimum Care Standards, Plasgwyn became Plasgwyn Retirement Home and opened its doors in December 1999.

In 2001 a sixteen room extension was added. The home now has 37 bedrooms over two floors. All the rooms are en suite accommodating 38 nursing and residential patients.
