Nautical themed lunch

The residents expressed an interest in having a nautical day, they enjoyed fish pie, pirate peas and a Rum & Rasin pudding with sea foam sauce.

Bodawen’s New Flock

At Bodawen we're creating a 'living sensory garden'. We have recently built a chicken pen and have 8 chickens. The chickens draw residents out into the patio area and the chickens provide a talking point, what's more, some of our residents can collect the eggs, and talk about what they're doing amongst themselves and to their family members, providing valuable mental stimulus, it also provides some exercise for the residents and gets the residents out in the fresh air

Spring Day Celebrations

On the 2nd March 2009 we had a Mothering Sunday lunch celebration; families were invited to come and joined their loved ones to a Special lunch
